A woman who claims to have been in a relationship with a suspect in a deception case, claiming to be a member of the San Francisco 49ers, told her social media followers that she paid $11,000 on behalf of her boyfriend. According to federal authorities, the case involves at least $1.3 million in fraud and 26 women.
According to Laurenn Llizz, a TikTok user, she was in a relationship with Daejon Love for months, traveling around four states, and did not suspect any fraud behind the NFL persona he used to attract other women, prosecutors said.
Two weeks into the relationship, she asked about 49ers gear, and he dismissed it, saying he played in the offseason a year ago.
She never saw how the story played out on the field. She just saw how he wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars, vacations, and gifts, including her Corvette, which he gave her. “He played a great game,” she said.
She said they were supposed to pick up the alleged accomplice, Taylor Chan, on the day of the arrest, so she left their Airbnb for an errand, planning to come back and meet Love there, but she didn’t receive the text because the FBI had arrested him.

The authorities believe that Love, 35, and Chan, 18, pretending to be Love’s financial adviser, used fake investment accounts to lure women through dating apps in California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
ESPN reported that federal court indicted the two, while KRON4 reported on a years-long romance scam across the country.
According to a CBS News Bay Area report, women claimed they received no return or account information for the money they invested.
It is confirmed that Love has never played in the 49ers or the NFL. The FBI says there may be more victims.
