A Woodward Middle School teacher Benjamin Alan Hall has recently been apprehended and charged with seven counts of lewd acts involving students. Authorities reveal that the alleged incidents span from Hall’s first year with Woodward Public Schools in 2012 until at least 2017.
According to police reports, Hall is accused of inappropriately touching young female students by slapping their bottoms with his hand, a ruler, or other items. Additionally, it is alleged that he made explicit sexual comments to the girls and even had them perform stretches in front of him during PE class.
Disturbingly, the affidavit notes that concerns about Hall’s behavior were reported by both parents and students to the middle school principal, who happens to be Hall’s wife. Shockingly, the school reportedly failed to follow up on these reports.
This marks the third arrest within Woodward Public Schools in less than a month related to educators facing charges of harming students. The community is left grappling with the unsettling reality that those entrusted with the well-being and education of their children may have betrayed that trust.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the community and school authorities must work together to address concerns, ensure transparency, and prioritize the safety and mental well-being of the affected students. The case underscores the importance of vigilant oversight within educational institutions to prevent such incidents and protect the vulnerable student population.
