Zendaya Reflects on Euphoria Season 3 Time Jump

While fans are deep in the wait for Euphoria‘s return, Zendaya has let slip some key intel on Season 3-and there’s a major time jump ahead, it seems. In an interview recently, the actress spoke about such a decision to push the story further and show the lives of her characters away from school.

“It’s important because there’s only so much high school drama you can deal with,” said Zendaya. Then she cheats again on her boyfriend! ” The troubled Rue Bennett plays the actress who won Emmy, and explained this season will be about “how all the trauma and everything that happened to them as kids informs who they are as adults.

It’s going to be really interesting to see and learn about these characters outside of the high school context, and how all that stuff we saw when they were kids informs the adulthood they have and who they become in this much bigger world,” she continued.

Although Zendaya wouldn’t say just how far forward the show would jump, viewers can look forward to a new perspective of their favorite characters as they go through some of the complications of adult life. The shift promises to take on new themes, with the characters having to face adult responsibilities and consequences reaching beyond the comfort of East Highland High.

Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson, has really impressed its audience with its raw take on things like adolescence, addiction, and mental health. The real big jump this time around is the major shift the series has taken from capturing the turbulence of high school during the first two seasons. This shift opens a wider scope of life challenges that the show will get into and gives the audience a chance to see deeper growth and transformation in the characters.

HBO has not released a date just yet for Euphoria Season 3, but for certain, with Zendaya’s foreword, anticipation has built up. “The third season follows this core group of characters as they navigate the lasting complexity of their high school experience into an even larger and more challenging world,” it says.
