THE IRON CLAW, a highly anticipated American sports drama film from A24, will have a Christmas wide release in the United States on December 22, 2023.
The film is currently finishing up post-production and will be available for viewing later this year. Filmmaker Sean Durkin, who has received critical acclaim, wrote and directed the movie.
The film stars Zac Efron as Kevin Von Erich, Jeremy Allen White as Kerry Von Erich, Harris Dickinson as David Von Erich, Holt McCallany as Fritz Von Erich, Maura Tierney as Doris, and Lily James as Pam.
The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the cutthroat world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Under the watchful eye of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.
The film’s first look at Zac in the ring, which was released in November, generated a lot of buzz and attention.
Tessa Ross, Juliette Howell, Angus Lamont from House Productions, Sean Durkin, and A24 serve as producers.
Derrin Schlesinger and Harrison Huffman of House Productions, Len Blavatnik and Danny Cohen of Access Entertainment, and Eva Yates of BBC Film are the executive producers.
House Productions created the film with the assistance of Access Entertainment and BBC Film. The film was co-financed and co-financed by A24, Access Entertainment, and BBC Film.
