The Braves had a 3-2 series lead over the Astros heading into Game 6 in Houston, where they put on a dominant display to defeat the Astros 7-0 and clinch their first World Series championship since 1995. Jorge Soler’s three-run, 446-feet homer put the Braves up 3-0 at the top of the third and Atlanta’s lead became 5-0 when Dansby Swanson took reliever Cristian Javier deep in the fifth inning. Freddie Freeman added an RBI double later in the fifth and hit a solo homer at the top of the seventh to make it 7-0 for Atlanta.
