The first project from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity will be available on Prime Video beginning May 12 in over 240 countries and territories worldwide, it was announced today. Amazon Studios, Skydance Sports, Mandalay Pictures, and Ben Affleck collaborated on AIR.

The incredible game-changing partnership between a then-rookie Michael Jordan and Nike’s burgeoning basketball division is revealed in award-winning director Ben Affleck’s film AIR. This collaboration resulted in the creation of the Air Jordan brand, which revolutionized both modern sports and pop culture.

This uplifting story follows a life-changing risk taken by an unconventional team with everything on the line, the unwavering determination of a mother who recognizes the value of her son’s extraordinary talent, and the basketball prodigy who would go on to become the greatest of all time.

Matt Damon plays maverick Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro, and Ben Affleck plays Nike co-founder Phil Knight, alongside Jason Bateman as Rob Strasser, Chris Messina as David Falk, Matthew Maher as Peter Moore, Marlon Wayans as George Raveling, Chris Tucker as Howard White, Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan, and Gustaf Skarsgrd as Horst Dassler.

This is the first time Matt Damon-starring a feature film directed by Ben Affleck. The production team behind AIR includes David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jon Weinbach, Affleck, Damon, Madison Ainley, Jeff Robinov, Peter Guber, and Jason Michael Berman. Alex Convery wrote the film’s script. Executive producers on the project include Jordan Moldo, Don Granger, Kevin Halloran, Michael Joe, Drew Vinton, John Graham, and Peter E. Strauss.

The iconic soundtrack to the movie, which features songs by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, REO Speedwagon, The Clash, Night Ranger, Dire Straits, The Alan Parsons Project, Squeeze, and others, is now accessible digitally through Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment that specializes in catalogs.

On any Fire TV device, Prime Members can watch AIR on Prime Video by telling Alexa to “play AIR on Prime Video.” Additionally, starting this Friday, May 5, Fire TV users will be able to watch an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of AIR with the entire cast. To find it, just go to the Fire TV Home screen.

AIR joins the Prime membership after its global theatrical release. Prime members all over the world benefit from savings, convenience, and entertainment in the form of a single membership.
