Bill Cosby has been released from prison after his sexual assault conviction was overturned on Wednesday
The 83-year-old comedian was released from prison on Wednesday after Pennsylvania’s highest court overturned his 2018 conviction, where he was found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault. Cosby served nearly three years of what was supposed to be a three to 10-year sentence when his conviction was overturned, according to the AP.
The Pennsylvania State Supreme Court issued an opinion Wednesday ruling that a ‘non-prosecution agreement’ with a previous prosecutor should have prevented him from being charged in the case.
