Cardi B encourages Selena Gomez not to retire from music.

Selena Gomez is the latest Vogue cover star. She spoke with the outlet about her first Spanish album Revelación. During the interview, Gomez hinted at a possible early retirement.

“It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously,” Selena said. “I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people, it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going.”

“I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different,” she added, though she didn’t elaborate on what she means by “different.” Instead, she said she wants to give her music career “one last try before I maybe retire music.”

Gomez comments caught the attention of Cardi B. The two collaborated in the past on DJ Snake’s Taki Taki with Ozuna. The massive hit went four times platinum and has been streamed over a billion times on Spotify. Cardi B took to Twitter to comment on Selena Gomez idea of retirement.

Cardi tweeted. “She makes good music & her fans love her. I think she needs one more Era. A edgy one that no one ever seen her as. I would love to give her some ideas.”

She continued. “I defend her cause she is such a sweetheart in person … she is just too sweet to go thru that. If she wants to leave, leave cause you want to, not cause of these fuckers.”

Do you see a Cardi B and Selena Gomez collab coming soon?
