Chris Brown pleaded guilty to one charge of affray regarding an attack in Tape nightclub in London in 2023. Brown’s co-defendant, vocal coach Omololu Akinlolu, whose stage name is HoodyBaby, made the same plea, according to the court documents.

The prosecution charged the pair for attacking a man in the nightclub where Chris Brown hit the victim on his head using a glass bottle. The victim was injured in his head and knees during the fight as he attempted to escape.

The pop star fled the United Kingdom after the attack and was arrested upon his return for his world tour in May 2025.

As part of the plea bargain, the prosecution withdrew the charges against the defendants that included grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

The pair will be sentenced in October.
