A 19-year-old woman was taken into custody in the city of Ibagué for extorting a married man with whom she reportedly had a romantic affair.
According to the investigators, she allegedly asked for 25 million pesos ($6,000) and threatened to reveal information to his wife and upload private photos and videos on social media.
She made her threats against the married man known to the police. The GAULA, which is the force that fights extortion and kidnappings, staged an operation. They planned for a partial payment of 2 million pesos ($480).
She was captured while collecting the money from the man at a local store in the northern part of Ibagué. The authorities also confiscated a cell phone.
The prosecutor’s office then charged the girl. Her identity is not disclosed.
These are mere accusations and have not been confirmed in a court yet.
