Crunchyroll, the global anime streaming platform, has announced international theatrical dates for the highly anticipated Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training-. Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps return to the big screen on February 21st, bringing the blockbuster event to fans all over the world.
This theatrical release provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for fans to revisit the gripping finale of the Swordsmith Village Arc while also getting a first look at the highly anticipated Hashira Training Arc in an extra-large cinematic setting. Notably, it marks the first time audiences can see the Swordsmith Village Arc’s conclusion in theaters, as well as the debut of the Hashira Training Arc.
Aniplex of America, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment will distribute the film in North American theaters, including IMAX and premium large formats, beginning February 23rd.
The global release schedule is as follows:
- February 21: Malta
- February 22: Various countries across Europe, South America, and Oceania
- February 23: Belgium, Canada, United States, and more
- February 24: France (two-day event screening), select countries in French-speaking Africa, and more
- February 27: Germany, Austria, Switzerland (German-speaking), and more
Further theatrical dates for additional territories, including India, will be announced soon.
During the global World Tour, which will visit a few cities across Crunchyroll/Sony Picture Entertainment territories, fans can attend special advanced fan screenings in addition to theater screenings. The World Tour, featuring special guests Natsuki Hanae, Hiro Shimono, and producer Yuma Takahashi, will begin on February 10th in New York City.
The Demon Slayer World Tour will visit Berlin, Mexico City, São Paulo, Paris, and London, with more locations to be announced.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- promises an immersive experience that combines the conclusion of the Swordsmith Village Arc with the start of the Hashira Training Arc. The film is based on Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga series, which has 23 volumes and over 150 million copies in print.
Directed by Haruo Sotozaki and animated by ufotable, the film seamlessly weaves together key episodes from the series, including “A Connected Bond: Daybreak and First Light” and Episode 1 of the Hashira Training Arc.
