Hannah Berner, a comedian born and raised in Brooklyn who made a living out of being online, will return to streaming on June 5th with her second stand-up special, Hannah Berner: None of My Business. The show will air exclusively on Hulu and Disney+ for bundle subscribers seeking a non-prestige show alternative.

The special was taped at the Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto. In the show, Berner gets down to the brass tacks, discussing her future plans, the fame she gained via podcasts and social media, and, most importantly, providing content that her team believes is “the most vulnerable yet” of her. In that regard, she explicitly states that, in the best-case scenario, she is merely “part-time hot.”

How you choose to perceive this statement may become evident based on the show’s title, which, according to the title, is none of your business.

Produced and executive produced by Jeff Tomsic and Matthew Vaughan, the special was written and performed by Hannah Berner. In terms of her path to stand-up, she went from being a Division I tennis player to appearing in reality shows to becoming a podcast sensation.

As far as podcasts go, Hannah hosts two, which have been downloaded over 100 million times combined: Giggly Squad (co-hosted with Paige DeSorbo) and Berner Phone (with Des Bishop).

The former received an iHeartRadio Podcast of the Year award. Her Han On The Street video series has over 350 million views, which is impressive enough to make some television executives cry in despair.

None of My Business” marks Hannah’s debut on Hulu and, overall, her second streaming special after We Ride at Dawn. The latter premiered successfully on Netflix and left room for a follow-up; this special is exactly that.

She joins other comedians on Hulu’s expanding “Hilarious” series, including Ralph Barbosa, Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, Nikki Glaser, Sebastian Maniscalco, Kumail Nanjiani, Roy Wood Jr., and a new special by Bobby Lee, among others.

The special is complemented by the news that Berner’s first book, co-written with Paige DeSorbo, titled How To Giggle: A Guide To Taking Life Less Seriously, reached No.2 on the New York Times Best Seller list.

She was also named one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics To Watch (2023). Moreover, she concluded a successful North American theater tour and will participate in an upcoming scripted comedy created alongside DeSorbo, Amy Poehler as producer, and Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect) as writer and showrunner.

It is currently unknown whether the series will share its title with Berner’s second stand-up special. However, sources say that the idea was not dismissed out of hand.

Hannah Berner: None of My Business” debuts on June 5, exclusively on Hulu. Hulu bundle subscribers can also find it on Disney+, between The Mandalorian and bedtime stories.
