Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas and his girlfriend, social media influencer Gia Duddy, got into a heated back-and-forth with a fan in the comments on one of her Instagram posts, which quickly turned personal and drew thousands of reactions.
Duddy’s post included a photo of her at the Bengals’ home game, where she wore a cropped shirt that read “Property of Cincinnati Bengals,” set to the song “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, captioned “gameday.”
The issue started when another user asked who Duddy was dating. The commenter responded: “WR45 on the depth chart Andrei Iosivas,” taking a dig at the receiver’s position on the Bengals’ roster. The comment gained almost 1,800 likes.
Iosivas, 26, responded to the fan and tagged the man’s wife, saying, “plz get ur husband off my girls page.”
The fan did not back off. “Get back to running special teams coverage. Your girls been passed around half the league,” he retorted, gaining more than 2,200 likes, while Iosivas’ reply had about 60 likes.
Duddy came next, tagging the man’s wife and criticizing the hate that comes from a total stranger on a woman’s page.
“You’re probably a great role model for your daughters… Commenting hate on a woman you don’t know’s account and following entirely attractive women who don’t know you exist!” Duddy wrote. Then she addressed his wife personally: “You’re a very lucky lady.”
“I think he hit a soft spot, damn,” another user commented, defending Duddy.
The fan replied with another personal remark.
“She is lucky; that’s so kind of you. As long as my daughters’ claim to fame isn’t blow job videos and bouncing around D-list NFL players, I’ll be content,” he wrote. The reply got about 2,400 likes, according to screenshots of the thread.
It was the first clear public confirmation of the couple’s relationship. Duddy, 25, kept her boyfriend’s identity under wraps, never showing his face in her posts, although she said this summer that he played for the Bengals and attended the team’s training camp as a VIP, per BroBible in August. Fans speculated that it was Iosivas. In the game-day post, one commenter noted, “Not blurring out his name on the bag. We’ve already seen it.”
Duddy got noticed during the 2023 NFL draft, sitting in the green room with her then-boyfriend, quarterback Will Levis, as he slid out of the first round. The couple split up. Since then, Duddy gained a following of more than 650,000 on TikTok and about 320,000 on Instagram.
Iosivas, a 2023 sixth-round pick from Princeton, has spent most of his three seasons with the Bengals as the third receiver behind Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. He has never gone past 500 receiving yards in a season and is in the last year of his rookie contract, meaning he will become a free agent in 2027.
The remark about special teams came while Iosivas was out of action. The Bengals put him on injured reserve September 23rd after he tore a ligament in his thumb, with surgery needed and a four- to six-week absence, according to ESPN. Bengals coach Zac Taylor said the injury will not end his season. Before getting injured, Iosivas had three catches for 19 yards in two games.
