A new release surveillance video showed a deadly shootout between New Mexico State and University of New Mexico students last month.
Footage shows Mike Peake being lured to New Mexico’s campus by a 17-year-old girl, UNM student Brandon Travis, and two other Lobo students.
Peake was walking through a parking lot at UNM with the 17-year-old girl. A few seconds later, Travis and two others followed them, while one was seen with a baseball bat in their hands.
Less than a minute later, Peake and Travis began to shoot at each other. They both fell to the ground. Peake can be seen jumping on one leg, picking up items from the ground before hobbling off.
A yellow camera got caught on surveillance cameras arriving at the scene moments later, after the shooting. Police revealed there were four people inside the vehicle, and three of them were Aggies basketball players Issa Muhammad, Marcelus Avery, and Anthony Roy.
Police believe Peake gave them a gun and other items to hide in the trunk of that car.
The incident reportedly occurred due to a revenge plot stemming from an altercation at the football game between the two schools in October.
The 17-year-old girl got arrested, and the two other suspects were identified but not charged yet.
