A woman in New York City got arrested earlier this week after being caught on video setting a pride flag on fire outside Little Prince restaurant on Monday morning (February 20th). The front of the Little Prince restaurant went up in flames due to her actions.
In the video that’s circulating all over social media, the woman got seen exiting a white SUV around 1:30 AM in front of the French restaurant to use a lighter to burn the rainbow flag that said, “Make America Gay Again.” After burning the flag, she reenters the white SUV to flee the scene. As of now, the person driving the vehicle identity did not get revealed to the public.

According to New York Daily News, the woman in the video got identified as 30-year-old Angelina Cando is facing serious prison time after being charged with arson, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment-all as hate crimes.
Cando could get locked up for possibly over ten years because her criminal history might be in full effect if convicted of the charges from burning the pride flag.
In 2023, she got arrested for a domestic dispute and allegedly pulling a knife on someone, but both times got released on bail.
