“Small Town Potential,” a riveting new series slated to launch on HGTV, promises to transport viewers across the Hudson Valley’s beautiful neighborhoods, lovely rolling hills, and lush flora.
The eight-episode season, which premieres Sunday, March 3rd, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, follows real estate agent and designer Davina Thomasula and her life partner and contractor, Kristin Leitheuser, as they help families find and renovate homes in upstate New York.
With her acute eye for design and real estate knowledge, Davina is committed to connecting newcomers with their ideal homes in the lovely Hudson Valley communities. “The Hudson Valley is full of unique and beautiful towns nestled along the Hudson River,” she said. “So many people are moving here because each town has much to offer and so much potential.”
Kristin, Davina’s experienced contractor, and partner, continues, “I happen to be her better half, working alongside my amazing dad, Don, renovating our clients’ homes to get them ready for their move-in date.”
The first episode follows Davina and Kristin as they set out to assist a couple in discovering and renovating an 1800s-era farmhouse in Marlboro, New York. Nestled on spacious land, the farmhouse offers the ideal environment for their daughter to explore and grow. The couple then focuses on Kingston, a nearby art enclave, where they renovate a dreary attic into a calm artist studio.
Throughout the season, viewers will see the dynamic partnership between Davina’s timeless design plans and Kristin’s hands-on craftsmanship, which is helped by the crucial contributions of Kristin’s father and building partner, Don.
“Small Town Potential” not only exemplifies the Hudson Valley’s attractiveness but also conveys the essence of the region’s thriving villages and the possibility of a slower, more meaningful lifestyle. Each week, Davina and Kristin will help families toward their small-town goals by merging modern design with the natural beauty of upstate New York.
