In the world of fan castings and Hollywood rumors, Jessica Chastain was rumored to play a pivotal role in the film adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.” The acclaimed actress had fueled speculation by expressing her interest and even admitting to reading a script during an interview.

The novel, which tells the story of reclusive Hollywood star Evelyn Hugo enlisting the help of a young reporter, Monique Grant, to document her extraordinary life, has a devoted fan base. Many fans were especially excited to see Jessica Chastain play Celia St. James, Evelyn’s confidante in the book.

The excitement, however, came to an end when Jessica Chastain addressed the ongoing rumors. In an interview with E! News, she stated unequivocally, “zero possibility” of her involvement in the film adaptation. Despite having mentioned it previously, this recent statement effectively ends any speculation about her involvement in the project.

Jessica expressed her appreciation for the fans’ enthusiasm, saying, “But I love how excited the fans are.” They’d be outside when I was signing books on Broadway every day. “I just love how wonderful that fan base is.” She concluded, “I look forward to watching it, and I’m sorry to disappoint everyone out there!”

With Jessica Chastain officially out of the running for “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo,” the focus now shifts to who will play Celia St. James on the big screen. As the wait for casting news continues, fans are eager to see how this beloved novel will be adapted for the big screen.
