The American Black Film Festival (, which takes place in Miami Beach from June 14 to June 18, will feature the world premiere of “Jagged Mind,” a horror film starring Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Shannon Woodward and produced by 20th Digital Studio and Hulu Originals.

In the film “Jagged Mind,” which Kelley Kali directed, a woman who experiences frequent blackouts and strange visions finds herself trapped in a series of time loops that may be connected to her enigmatic new girlfriend. Alongside Shannon Woodward, who plays her girlfriend, “Alex,” Maisie Richardson-Sellers plays “Billie” in the film.

The short film “First Date,” which was a part of the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite Size Halloween,” served as the inspiration for this feature, and Kali got chosen to direct it. Allyson Morgan (“Sitting”) is the author of the film, which has been renamed “Jagged Mind.” In addition to “Grimcutty,” “Matriarch,” “Clock,” and the soon-to-be-released “Appendage” and “The Mill,” the studio’s current slate of horror films for Hulu also includes “Jagged Mind.”

David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle served as executive producers on the “Jagged Mind” project that 20th Digital Studio created. On June 15, the movie will make its exclusive debut on Hulu, with Disney+ international to follow.
