Multitalented artist Laura Pieri has expanded the artistic narrative of her newly released EP ‘Frankie’ by presenting an accompanying short film that enhances the story told through her music. The visual project weaves subtle transitions between each track, adding a fresh, dynamic dimension to the EP’s storyline.

‘Frankie’ tells a powerful tale of a woman reclaiming her voice and power. The journey begins with the track “Sea of Tragedy,” where the protagonist, Frankie, realizes she has been held back by those who cannot understand her perspective. In “Daughter of Demeter,” Frankie is consumed by anger and frustration, initiating her quest for empowerment. This leads to “Come Clean,” depicting her emergence from turmoil into newfound freedom. The narrative culminates with “Goddess Energy,” a tribute to women embracing their identities and living their truth unapologetically.

Pieri describes the EP as a reflection of her personal struggles and growth. “‘Frankie’ was born out of my struggle to be in control of my identity and career, since it more often than not felt controlled by the hands of men whose vision did not align with my own,” Pieri explains. “Although I still have a long way to go, I really am learning to love, trust, and stick up for myself. It’s definitely aspirational to not care about what other people think, but I am manifesting that. And, like the character Frankie, this doesn’t have to make sense for anyone else. Just for me. And it does.”

Laura Pieri’s background is as diverse and dynamic as her music. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, she nurtured her dream of becoming a pop star until she moved to America at the age of 16. Balancing her time between New York and Los Angeles since 2014, Pieri pursued her education and a music career simultaneously. Her artistic influences range from Prince and Michael Jackson to Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift, aiming to blend her pop inspirations with her Brazilian roots to create a unique, connective songwriting style.
