Lily Rose-Depp Will Star Alongside The Weeknd In HBO’s ‘The IDOL’

Lily Rose-Depp has been cast opposite The Weeknd in HBO’s ‘The Idol,’ DEADLINE reports.

The series follows a female pop singer who starts a romance with an enigmatic L.A. club owner who is the leader of a secret cult.

‘The Idol’ was green lit earlier this year. Euphoria creator, Sam Levinson joins The Weeknd as the co-creators of the series.

Joseph Epstein serves as the show runner for this project. Marty Laws (Succession) will write and co-executive produce.

The Weeknd’s best friend and creative director LaMar Taylor and his manager Sal will serve as executive producers.
