Rep. Nancy Mace, who is a Republican from South Carolina, said that she rejected every single man who sent her unsolicited explicit imagery, referring to the habit as ‘nasty’ and ‘gross’ during her interview on Capitol Hill, where TMZ uploaded it.
Speaking about men who show up in her DMs, Mace said she turns down every single man, regardless of their political views. “I turn every, I turn every man down that shows up in my DMs,” she said. Asked whether men send her explicit imagery, she answered, “Uh, sometimes. And that’s nasty. Don’t do that. Don’t send me a fix. Don’t definitely don’t, don’t send me any. Okay. That’s gross.”
These messages came after her podcast episode in August 2026, when Mace showed her arm tattoos; the episode became popular and led to many people offering her a date.
Speaking about dates, Mace stated that she would consider dating a Democrat. “Yes, although I just turned one down,” Mace mentioned that after the story about her tattoo, she got a lot of suitors. “Yes, including some Democrats, but I turned all of them down. I just said no,” she added.
When asked if that was the reason for turning all of those suitors down, Mace stated that that was not the case. “I turned everybody down. I don’t know. I don’t know that I’ll ever date again. I don’t know.”
Speaking of whether she would ever go dating again, Mace said, “I might never date again.” When told that she is still very young, she stated, “I know because everything I’ve been through, I just don’t really see. It’s, it’s, it’s tough.”
When asked if she would be happy to stay single for the rest of her life, Mace answered, “Yeah.” The interviewer said that most people would not be happy about it, to which she replied, “I know it is lonely, but I don’t have any friends up here. What does it really matter? I just throw myself into my work, and I work really hard, and it’s fine. It is what it is. I’m almost 50, and my kids are grown. You know, I want to be happy. I’m going to do what I want to do.”
When questioned if some men might be put off by her outlandish remarks, Mace did not agree that her statements are outlandish. “You think what I say is outlandish?” she asked. “Really? Because I think I just speak the truth and common sense. I don’t think anything I say is outlandish.”
She suggested that her personality intimidates men. “I do think men are intimidated by strong. I do think that, that some men are intimidated by me. Absolutely. A hundred percent. That’s why. Yes,” she said.
When asked whether she would tone down her rhetoric to have better chances in dating, Mace said she likes confrontation and doesn’t want to stop. “I’m having too much fun,” she said. “I mean, it’s really like, you know, last night I’m toe to toe with Kevin Reddington over the Lindsay Clancy case like that. I, I enjoy that. I don’t want to give that up. I do enjoy that because there are so many dumba**** in the world. Sometimes somebody has to put them in their place. Even when I’m a dumba**, it’s just, it’s, it’s fun, and I enjoy it, and it is what it is. And that’s probably why I’ll be single the rest of my life.”
When asked what she does when she gets home, Mace described her routine. “I have my two dogs and a cat,” she said, and also she “have a glass of red wine”. She added that it is enough for her. “It’s fine. And nobody b****ing at me when I get home.”
Acknowledging the loneliness, she still finds comfort in it. “Um, yeah, I can; nobody nags me when I come home. It’s lonely. I don’t recommend divorce. I recommend to my friends to stay married,” she said.
When asked whether her divorce caused her loneliness, Mace said it didn’t. “No, no. It’s with everything that happened after,” she said. “Okay. So it’s just, um, I just, I went through some tough times, and I do politics while I do business. Well, I don’t do the personal thing. It’s just been a struggle. So I just, you know, it is what I go to church. I pray about it, and I don’t.”
When the interviewer suggested that somebody might see the interview and message her, Mace once again confirmed that she rejects all those messages. “I turn every, I turn every man down that shows up in my DMs,” she said. When asked whether that applies to all of them, she answered, “All of them.”
The interview ended with Mace saying goodbye. “Well, thank you, Nancy. I’ll catch you around,” the interviewer said. Mace replied, “I’ll see Charlie. Aussie Charlie. That’s it. Bye.”
Nancy Mace, who said that she is almost 50 and has grown children, leaves Congress in January 2027.
