Naomi Osaka fined $15,000 and threatened with expulsion for avoiding the media at French Open

Organizers said that the tennis player could face expulsion from the French Open and future Grand Slams if she continues to not speak to the media. Last week, Osaka said she would not participate in any news conferences during Roland Garros to protect her mental health. She was fined $15,000 USD (£10,570) “in the wake of her infringement of mandatory media interviews.”
