Nolan Wells’s case remains open for now. As reported by authorities, there is currently no evidence of criminal activity; however, this may change during the investigation.
Wells disappeared during his Fourth of July vacation on Horn Island, Mississippi, and was later found dead.
Speaking to TMZ, Sheriff John Ledbetter said that detectives have already interviewed several of Wells’ friends and witnesses to the event. However, as he stated, nothing suspicious has been revealed so far, and the investigation is ongoing, so it may yield other results as new evidence emerges.
Currently, investigators are examining a video, which appears to feature an altercation among a group of people who were on Horn Island in the place where Wells’s body was discovered. Ledbetter stated that it was still not clear what happened there, and how it was related to Wells’ death, but an answer will be given later on.
For now, the family of the deceased hired lawyer Ben Crump to help them investigate the death of their son.
The investigation is still ongoing.
