A video of a white woman in Ottawa assaulting an indigenous woman named Laura Gagnon has gone viral on social media.
Gagnon claims the woman attacked her because she wasn’t wearing a bra while going on a run at an Ottawa park.
In the video, you can see the woman attack her and try to take her phone. Gagnon drops her phone, and then after a while, she picks it up to go to her car. A mob of people (who look like zombies) allegedly assumed that Gagnon stole the white woman’s phone and started to harass her by pounding on her car window demanding to give up the phone.

Ottawa police officers were called to an area near Billings Bridge Wednesday at approximately 6:40 p.m. for a report of a collision. When on the scene, they found the woman that had been assaulted. Officers investigated and arrested a 37-year-old woman, according to Ottawa Police Department Twitter account.
The white woman in the video was charged with assault and served with an undertaking for a court appearance, according to Ottawa police. The Ottawa police claimed they have reached out to the victim to offer support, and that they take this investigation very seriously.
The Ottawa Police Department also encouraged Gagnon to file a police report about the incident. They have not released the name of the woman who assaulted Gagnon.

As a community member, I am disgusted by the actions of this lady (and her crazy friends) who feels she has the right to even talk to a stranger, let alone assault someone.
