Authorities apprehended a man following a shooting at al-Noor Islamic Center in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo, according to a local police. Officials later stated that the shooting is being investigated as a possible act of terrorism.

A “young, white man” opened fire in a mosque in Norway. He wounded one elderly man, 75, before being overpowered by other congregants. This could have been another Christchurch, a day before Eid al Adha.

The alleged gunman who attacked the mosque in Norway was inspired by the Christchurch, Poway and El Paso shooters, online records suggest.

The suspect has not been officially identified by police but was named in reports as Philip Manshaus, a 21-year-old local man.
