It has been verified that the social media star, Ashlee Jenae, was part of an altercation with her fiancé prior to her death at a luxury resort in Tanzania.
According to North Unguja Regional Police Commander, Benedict Mapujira, the dispute between Jenae and her fiancé, Joe McCann, escalated while at the Zuri Zanzibar resort. The hotel’s security team intervened and separated the couple by assigning each of them a separate room, Mapujira stated.
It became apparent that the matter was brought to the authorities’ attention due to concerns for Jenae’s safety, as the incident was reported to Nungwi Police Station.
Jenae was found unconscious in her private villa and rushed to the hospital, where she passed away the next day.
Local media outlets reveal that there were preliminary suspicions regarding the case being a possible suicide. No official conclusion has been reached yet.
