In Kansas City, Missouri, on April 13, Ralph Pual Yarl reportedly rang the doorbell of a white man and was shot multiple times.
After going to the wrong address to pick up his younger siblings from their friend’s house, Ralph accidentally rang the man’s doorbell.
When the white man answered the door, he reportedly shot Ralph in the head and then shot him again when his body hit the ground.
Ralph got up after being shot multiple times and went to a neighbor’s house to get help. Ralph, according to his uncle, had to scurry to three homes before anyone agreed to help him.
He ended up in the hospital and is currently in stable condition. The unidentified white man who shot Ralph went to the police station to say something about the occurrence and was set free without any charges, as reported by The Kansas City Defender.
Missouri’s “stand your ground” laws, which “remove the duty to retreat before using deadly force in defense of self or others in any place a person has a right to be,” are cited by the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
At his school, Ralph Pual Yarl is said to be a member of the Jazz band, the Science Olympia Team, and the Technology Student Association.
In the marching band, he is the section leader; a scholar, and one of Missouri’s best base clarinet players. He as of late procured Missouri All-State Band acknowledgment with a noteworthy notice. In the youth orchestra of the metropolitan area, he plays multiple instruments. He is a 2022 Missouri scholar academy alumni.
To assist with Ralph Yarl’s needs during this tragic time, his family has set up a GoFundMe account.
