Rei Ami, the Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter who was one of the voices of Huntr/x, an animated girl group that gained massive popularity in 2023, released a new single titled “2LOUD” via Republic Records on Friday.

After a year of performing as one of the vocalists in Huntr/x, an animated group featured in Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters, Rei Ami released a song that can best be described as a reclaiming of her voice, which had been stifled for years due to accusations of her being too loud or doing too much.

“If you think I’ve been too loud, then I don’t know what to tell you because I’m about to get even louder,” Rei Ami said. “Cry about it or get some earplugs.”

In “K-pop Demon Hunters,” Netflix’s most-streamed film production ever, Rei Ami voiced Zoey’s part and helped transition the cartoon group into a successful commercial entity. In the process, their multi-platinum single “Golden” became the first song by a K-pop girl group to peak at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks, with more than 1 billion streams worldwide.

They have also performed live on international stages like the Academy Awards, the BRIT Awards, and the BAFTA Film Awards, and even gave a surprise performance at Katseye’s Coachella concert in the Sahara Tent.
