Sarah Hartsfield, Who Avoided Jail Time For Killing Her Ex-Fiancé In 2018, Accused of Poisoning 5th Husband To Death

Having been married five times, a former U.S. Army sergeant is now being accused of poisoning her fifth husband, Joseph Hartsfield, to death.

Sarah Hartsfield, 48, was charged with murder after allegedly administering high doses of insulin to her diabetic husband and waiting four to six hours before dialing 911, according to Houston’s ABC 13 station.

With a $4.5 million bond, Sarah Hartsfield is currently incarcerated. To the murder charge, she entered a not guilty plea.

Investigators in Minnesota are re-examining two deaths connected to Sarah Hartsfield from 2018 while she is awaiting trial.

When Sarah Hartsfield fatally shot her ex-fiance David Bragg in May 2018, the prosecution at first claimed that it was a justified act of self-defense.

The second case involves the death of Rebecca Kunze, who was wed to Sarah’s fourth husband. Just a few months after her house burned down in an unknown fire, Kunze unexpectedly passed away.

In March 1996, Hartsfield, also known as Sarah Dohonue, was detained for allegedly hitting her second husband, Michael Traxler, at their Rio Bonito residence. Before the charges were dropped, she was detained for one week.
