Scarlett Johansson is said to be in final talks to join the sequel to ‘THE BATMAN,’ starring Robert Pattinson.

Nexus Point News also reported that Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman is unlikely to return. Johansson, what would she be doing?

Could Scarlett Johansson be portraying Andrea Beaumont in ‘THE BATMAN – PART II’? A few people on social media think so.

One person wrote, “Everyone is saying it but if they pull out Andrea Beaumont and make her the Phantasm (something that I have been wanting and thinking about since the moment the first film finished) @mattsontomlin and @mattreevesLA have my heart and soul. I will simply cry.” And if, say, there are rumors that Scarlett Johansson is playing Andrea Beaumont (Phantasm) in The Batman Part 2, I might die out of excitement.”

Another wrote, “If Scarlett Johansson really does play Andrea Beaumont in The Batman 2, we officially won.”

“Because the villain of The Batman 2 can relate to Bruce Wayne’s past in a way that has never been depicted in live-action, and because Andrea Beaumont is one character Scarlett Johansson might be playing…sounds like the Phantasm may be rather the villain,” a D.C. comic book fan wrote.

One person said, “Oh my god Matthew Reeves is in his freaking bag if she plays Andrea Beaumont/Phantasm.”

“If Andrea Beaumont/Phantasm makes it into The Batman Part II, my hype is gonna be fucking high!,” a DC fan wrote.

As a person explained it, “One of the rumored roles is Andrea Beaumont aka The Phantasm, and that’s absolutely perfect.”

Directed by Matt Reeves, the DC Studios film is expected to start shooting next spring for release October 2027 at Warner Bros. “The Batman” opened in theaters in March 2022 and grossed $772 million internationally at the box office; Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin completed the script for a long-awaited sequel last June.

Johansson’s possible role also has been unspecified though this move represents the newest major franchise deal for the actor, who most recently starred in Universal’s box office smash “Jurassic World Reignited” (which grossed over $800 million).

And the fact that Johansson joins the Batman sequel means swinging like a batwoman across the comic book street from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (from which she’s a founding Avenger as Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow) to DC’s factory of heroes.
