Scottish Woman Says Her Religious Fans Are Obsessed With Mary Magdalene Roleplay: “Christians Are the Kinkiest People Ever”

Summer Robert goes to Mass every Sunday. She prays every night. She donates to her church and regularly gives to homeless people in Glasgow. She also works on OF, and she says the two are not in conflict.

“People think it’s the weirdest thing ever that I love God,” Robert said. “Like, I do OF, but I’m also the girl who prays every single night.”

Robert said she was not raised in a religious household but grew up around multiple faiths. Her father is a Southern Baptist from Nashville, Tennessee. Another father figure is Muslim. Her mother is a pagan.

“I’ve got two dads and one mum,” she said. “One dad’s a Southern Baptist from Nashville, my other dad’s Muslim, and my mum’s pagan. She literally believes trees control the world.”

Despite the varied religious influences, Robert said she felt a connection to God from an early age that she cannot fully explain.

Robert said starting OF two years ago pushed her toward greater religious observance rather than away from it.

“Doing OF actually made me more religious,” she said. “When I first started OF two years ago, I think I subconsciously felt like if I was breaking a rule, I should probably go to church more. Like, make sure I’m still doing good things.”

She said she does not feel guilty over her content but takes issue with how others judge her for it.

“I don’t think God is up there like, ‘Oh no, bikini photos, she’s not getting into heaven,'” she said. “I think He’s just some guy who loves me. A chiller. But people? They judge way more than God ever would.”

Robert said she has donated thousands of dollars to her church and to homeless outreach efforts, including participating in soup kitchens and Christmas donation drives.

“It just makes me feel better knowing I’m helping people,” she said. “When you’ve got money, and you’re just sitting on it, and there are people out there literally struggling or dying, it just feels good to give.”

She described herself as “a perfect Christian except for the boobs,” noting she does not drink alcohol, use drugs, or consume caffeine or soft drinks.

Robert said reactions to her faith differ sharply between Scotland and the United States. She said Scottish churchgoers are generally less judgmental, while she has faced criticism during visits to Baptist churches in Nashville, where she has been told to cover up.

She recounted an appearance on an American podcast during which a woman told her she was wearing “an abomination” for pairing a cross necklace with revealing clothing.

Robert said her pastor is aware of her OF work and has not asked her to leave the church.

“He said, ‘This might not fit with the church, but if it’s part of your journey right now, then it’s part of your journey,'” she said. “It was honestly the best thing he could’ve said.”

Robert said many of her subscribers are religious and have asked her to create content themed around Mary Magdalene, a figure in the New Testament.

She said she plans to be baptized, noting she has not yet undergone the ceremony.

“I’ll probably have to do it with all the kids,” she said. “That’ll be embarrassing. But I don’t care.”
