Jesse Williams secretly married Spanish actress Alejandra Onieva, according to a report from TMZ. The news outlet reported on Monday that the couple had been tying the knot in secret for several months.

Jesse Williams became popular for playing the character on Grey’s Anatomy for many years. The 43-year-old actor met his current wife while filming the Prime Video movie Hotel Costiera, which was shot on the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

The actors started dating in September last year when they were spotted kissing in Milan during the film promotion. The couple confirmed their relationship during the Rome premiere.

Williams was previously married to Aryn Drake-Lee, with whom the actor has two kids. In October 2020, his divorce from Aryn was finalized after nearly five years of marital life.

There is no announcement from the couple concerning the secret ceremony.

On the other hand, some internet users reacted negatively to the news about Williams’ marriage since the man was actively advocating for black communities for years.

However, there were some people who defended the man by asking a question about whether one can’t date a white woman, being an advocate for Blacks.

“So when someone who isn’t pro-Black but is in an interracial relationship, it’s not surprising, but when they are pro-Black and in one, it’s disappointing,” a person wrote. “But you also can’t be in one and be pro-Black, and I’m confused, because maybe he just likes her.”
