‘SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE’ opens to $120.5 million in the United States, making it the second biggest domestic opening of 2023. It becomes the third-largest opening for an animated film and the best-ever for Sony Animation, not adjusted for inflation. The film earned $208.6M in the film’s worldwide opening weekend.

‘The Little Mermaid’ made just over $40 million in its second weekend at the box office, according to reports. The film grossed $186.2 million in the United States while playing in 4,320 theaters. The Disney film also made over $40 million overseas, for a total of $140.5 million, bringing the film’s global box office total to over $326 million.

‘The Boogeyman,’ a 20th Century film based on Stephen King’s story, is set to finish third at the box office after earning $12.3 million domestically and $7.7 million overseas this weekend.

After earning $10.2 million domestically in its fifth weekend at the box office, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ moves up to fourth place, passing ‘Fast X.’ The film has grossed more than $700 million worldwide.

‘Fast X’ takes fifth place at the box office this weekend. Despite a surprisingly poor domestic box office performance, the film has grossed over $600 million worldwide, thanks to the $474.8 million earned outside of the United States.
