The HummingBird Project: Salma Hayek Shines As An Evil Boss

The Orchard Publicity

The Hummingbird Project is just a movie but like all movies we can take or learn something away from all films. In this film, you can see cousins uniting to use their mind, skills, and grit to accomplish their dreams.

Vincent (Jesse Eisenberg) and Anton (Alexander Skarsgård) are players in the high-stakes game of High Frequency Trading game.

They need to build a fiber-optic cable straight line between Kansas and New Jersey, making them millions. But nothing is straightforward for this flawed pair. Anton is the brains, Vincent is the hustler, and together they push each other and everyone around them to breaking point on their quixotic adventure. Constantly breathing down their necks is their old boss Eva Torres (Hayek) a powerful, intoxicating and manipulative trader who will stop at nothing to come between them and beat them at their own game.

We had the opportunity to interview the cast of The Hummingbird Project Monday night at the premiere in New York City. Many of the cast spoke about the importance of Salma Hayek role in the movie. A Latina portrayed as a boss is empowering to women all around the world.
