The Twitch streamer traveling from Philadelphia to California across 3,000 miles was struck by a car in Indiana after day 33 of his adventure. It could have ended his cross-country live stream for good.
Hmblzayy, the streamer known online, was hit by a black sedan. It threw him and his equipment in separate directions. The footage taken during the accident showed a woman screaming a powerful, expletive question towards the streamer.
The emergency response unit rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Posting an update from his hospital bed, Hmblzayy was seen wearing a neck brace but was positive about healing and completing the adventure.
“Appreciate everybody that’s checking on me,” Hmblzayy said. “I’m good, they’re just running some tests right now. We’ll be back live-streaming real soon. We’re gonna finish this race, man.”
He expressed gratitude to divine guidance for his survival.
“We won’t let the devil win,” Hmblzayy said. “We’re gonna make sure we finish this marathon that God put me on. God is the greatest. I’m alive, and that’s all that matters.”
Hmblzayy did not mention when he will restart his walk.
