The 19-year-old female university student died in her bedroom when her younger sister woke up early Saturday morning in the Çamlıca district of the city.
According to reports, Rabia Yıldız, a Gümüşhane University student, was discovered by her sister when she failed to get up at their home on Sebahattin Aytaç Street. The emergency teams were contacted immediately.
According to medical officials at the scene, Yıldız was declared dead after they examined her body. The police and other investigative teams arrived at the three-story house, where the two siblings lived on the second floor.
After a detailed forensic examination, Yıldız’s body was transferred to the morgue of Gümüşhane State Hospital for an autopsy that would reveal the cause of death officially.
The family members who were quickly rushed to the scene showed a strong emotional reaction. Her mother cried loudly outside.
The cause of death has yet to be determined.
