Regarding the murder of his wife, a US Army soldier stationed in Alaska is charged with murder.
Police in the Fairbanks, Alaska, region have charged 24-year-old Endeavor Ryan Riley with felony offenses.
Riley reported that his wife was unresponsive in their bed when he called the police on Sunday.
According to reports, the victim, Kayla Kugtsun, had consumed alcohol the previous evening with her sister and husband.
Riley insisted that his wife had likely passed away from alcohol-related intoxication and blacked out, but Kugtsun’s text messages showed differently. She told several friends that Riley had assaulted her.
Before she passed away, the victim had the means to send pictures of her wounds to a number of friends and family members, according to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
Additionally, police discovered a message that suggested abuse had been occurring for some time.
After being transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center, Riley got lodged with charges of first-degree murder.
