The incident occurred at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, India, during an elaborate stage performance that took a terrifying turn.
Shah, along with the company’s president, Raju Datla, performed a daring stage act featuring an “iron cage contraption.”
Surprisingly, a video shared on social media captures the terrifying moment when the cable supporting the cage snapped, resulting in a 15-foot fall for both executives.
In the aftermath, Shah and Datla were rushed to a nearby hospital. Regrettably, Sanjay Shah was declared dead, while Raju Datla is still fighting for his life, according to the Times of India.
The unfortunate incident occurred while the duo was being lowered from the cage onto the stage below, signaling the start of planned festivities.
