Kylie Brewer claims that white people, and white men in particular, tend to overestimate their attractiveness; this tendency is rooted in white supremacy.

In her TikTok video “White people tend to overestimate their attractiveness”, Brewer expressed her opinion.

“On multiple measures, white people tend to assume that they are more attractive than they actually are, and this is even more pronounced for men,” Brewer says, yet she did not mention what measures she was referring to.

According to one of the comments highlighted by the speaker, there are white men who are so confident in their attractiveness that they think they can conquer the women who are not attracted to men at all.

“And as you can see from this comment here, there are a lot of white men who even think that they can get, like, lesbian women to like them because they just are so confident they’re the standard, that they’re what everyone wants,” Brewer said.

The speaker correlated this overconfidence with white supremacy.

“And this goes back to white supremacy. It’s the idea that there is no other competition, that Black and brown people will not possibly take any of the options away from them, especially their white women. That would never happen,” Brewer continued.

“So for them, it is so funny because you look at the situation and you’re like, it is so clearly not the case that they are the most attractive person in the room,” she added. “Not that it matters, but the point is that white supremacy gives these average men an overinflated ego, an overinflated sense of, like, their place in this world and what they can possibly do.”

Brewer also mentioned President Donald Trump, saying that the system he represents validates men that she called mediocre.

“And it makes mediocre white men feel seen. That’s what Trump does. That’s what the entire system of white supremacy does,” Brewer says.

Yet the speaker admitted that her opinion did not concern all white men, but rather those middle-aged and older.

“And yes, while this is not all white men, it is an unfortunate reality that most white men, especially in their 40s, 50s, 60s, they tend to overinflate their attractiveness and think that they’re like, still the s***,” said Brewer. “It’s crazy.”

White supremacy makes mediocre white men feel seen. Across all races, “unattractive” people rate themselves higher, but it’s even more pronounced in white people/ men. #leftist #education #humanrights #antiracism #intersectionalfeminism
