Entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman’s social media post about Indonesian actress and singer Agnez Mo has sparked a campaign urging the actress to join the live-action adaptation of the popular anime series Naruto. The tweet received thousands of likes and numerous fan art pieces within hours.
Richtman posted a picture on August 23rd of Agnez Mo, who is 40, playing Lila Hoth in Reacher’s newest season, and complimented her screen presence.
“Cast her in Naruto, cast her in everything. Need more of her on screen,” he tweeted.
Mo herself responded on the same medium using emojis: “😏😏☺️🙏🏻🙏🏻”
The fan art included images of her playing several characters from Naruto, like Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage, and Mabui, the composed kunoichi.
Agnez Mo began her career as a child performer in Jakarta before moving into acting and collaborating with American artists. She currently has an international following of over 12 million people. Her performance as Lila Hoth is one of her best-known English-language appearances.
