Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a sarcastic comment about President Donald Trump’s claims of a “golden age” for the nation, saying he installed “golden toilets all over Washington, D.C.”
The remarks came after an interview question from MeidasTouch Network reporter Pablo Manriquez.
“Congressman Donald Trump has said that we are in a golden age. What are you making this up?” asked Manriquez.
“A golden age of what? A golden age. He’s calling it exactly. Of what? I mean, he’s putting golden toilets on the washers,” Ocasio-Cortez replied.
