The series from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, officially titled THE PENGUIN, has been shown off in first-look footage and as an image on Max.
The eight-episode DC Studios drama series, which stars Colin Farrell as The Penguin and continues Matt Reeves’ epic Batman crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster “The Batman,” centers on Farrell’s character.
The first look was only shown today at the Max streaming service unveiling hosted by Warner Bros. Discovery on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles.
Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell are among the previously announced cast members, with Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen recurring.
Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro are the executive producers of the show.
In light of characters made for DC by Sway Kane with Bill Finger, THE PENGUIN is created by Reeves’ sixth and Idaho Creations and Dylan Clark Creations in relationship with Warner Brothers. TV, where Reeves and Sixth, and Idaho are under a general arrangement.
Rafi Crohn is a co-executive producer, and Daniel Pipski of 6th & Idaho is also an executive producer.
