Social media personality Elle Renate shared a video with her Instagram followers in which she claims that men who are African and African American have “special powers” when it comes to love. The statement was called “completely outrageous.”
The video, named “Black Man’s Effect on a Woman,” showed Renate addressing the camera about the influence that Black men have on women. Renate provided no research or other evidence to back up her claims. The video also didn’t include when it was uploaded or how many views it got.
“I’m going to say something completely outrageous about African American men or African men,” Renate said. “I believe they have special powers.”
Then she addressed those men.
“Yes, you have special powers if you’re African American, African guy,” she said. “I watched this Black guy. You have special powers, not only in lovemaking, but you do something to a woman, bringing her to her mastery.”
Renate believes that Black men understand love better than white men do, though it has nothing to do with their physique.
“And your ability to understand love is a little higher than the average white guy, and it’s not because your D*** is bigger or anything like that,” she said.
In her opinion, the special thing about Black men is their temperament.
“It’s something about the quiet confidence and nonreactivity that makes a woman self-correct herself and mirror a more sane approach to love,” Renate said. “I think there is special magic going on there.”
She admits she cannot explain where these traits come from and offers her own historical theory.
“I’m not completely tapped into where it’s coming from exactly, but I believe that some of the patriarchy, the white patriarchy, that came from Europe, from America, wherever, and teaching a woman to rely on a man did something to female sexuality, to the feeling of confidence of the woman in her powers, a white woman, and her ability to be independent,” she said.
Renate says that African men did not experience that.
“And so there’s a gap there that thankfully the African men were untouched,” she said. “So there is something good about a continent that … you know, in some eyes is less developed than Europe, but through other lenses, it is a lot more developed.”
Renate ends her video briefly.
“Just wanted to share that piece of information with you,” Renate said. “Thank you.”
