Jessie Abbas Confronted For Racist Halloween Costume

A white woman in Oregon got accused of being a racist after she and her friends allegedly got an Indigenous woman fired after being confronted at a Halloween event.

An Indigenous woman named Eugenia Camas confronted Jessie Abbas for wearing a “Native/Pocahontas” costume at the Powell butte rodeo event in Oregon. She wanted to know why Jessie thought this was an okay costume, as many indigenous families attend those events.

“I just wanted to ask you, why do you think it’s appropriate for you to wear that outfit? It’s just out of curiosity. Do you know that I find it offensive? My kids find it offensive. We’re Native Americans, and that’s not how we dress,” Eugenia says in the video.

After Eugenia expresses her feelings to Jessie, she got instantly dismissed because it appears Jessie does not care about anything she has to say about her costume.

Eugenia allegedly got harassed by Jessie and her friends after this incident, which caused Smile-A-Mile Painting Redmond to terminate Eugenia.

One of Jessie Abbas’ alleged friends, Katie Muller-Crane, suggested finding Eugenia’s address and acting out scenes from Netflix’s The Watcher series on a Facebook post.

Another alleged friend of Abbas named April Courtney says Eugenia “messed with the wrong group! She must not have realized the village Jess has behind her,” underneath Katie Muller-Crane’s comment on Facebook.

Many on social media are outraged and have been searching for Jessie Abbas’ employer to get her fired. Some found out that she worked at St. Charles Health System in Redmond, Oregon, but the company announced on Twitter that Abbas has worked for them for over three years.

Eugenia was already being fired before this incident happened. A better question would be, why was Eugenia fired from social services in Madras Oregon. Talk of her putting tape over children’s mouths and putting them in closets is why..

I watched the entire video and Jesse said she didn’t intend on being racist. Eugina calling for everyone to harass her is why Eugina got fired.

It’s a Disney costume, and it’s nobody’s business what people wear, she deserves to lose her job, do what you are paid to do, you aren’t paid to harass the customers.
