Amazon MGM Studios has revealed the trailer and poster for Love of Your Life. The movie will premiere theatrically on October 7th, then stream globally on Prime Video starting October 14.

Written and directed by Rachel Morrison, Love of Your Life tells the story of Maya (Margaret Qualley), who gets swept up in love thanks to her fateful encounter with Charlie (Gabriel Basso). Everything changes as she faces a new destiny that forces her to look inside herself and question who she is, what she wants, and how to love again.
According to the synopsis, Love of Your Life is an expansive, uplifting romance that follows a woman’s journey after the loss of her great love, proving that true love lives within us and can be found through grief, romance, adventure, and discovery.
“The idea that on the other side of profound grief can lie profound appreciation and gratitude is very real and very personal for me,” Morrison said. “I’ve had a lot of loss in my life, but that loss has been offset by so much love and vitality.”
Love of Your Life is the filmmaker’s second movie as a director, following The Fire Inside in 2024. However, Morrison spent years as a cinematographer prior to directing, working on Mudbound, Black Panther, Fruitvale Station, Dope, among other films. For her work on Mudbound, she was nominated for an Academy Award.
Love of Your Life will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Special Presentations category on September 13th.
Julia Cox wrote the screenplay. Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson produced the movie.
Among other cast members are Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Catherine Keener, Tamara Lawrance, and Corey Johnson. Gabriel Basso stars in Netflix’s The Night Agent, Aaron Pierre is known for Rebel Ridge, and Patrick Schwarzenegger starred in The White Lotus. Catherine Keener is a two-time Oscar nominee.
For Margaret Qualley, Love of Your Life is her third movie of the year, following How to Make a Killing and Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars.
Among Rachel Morrison’s crew are DP Todd Banhazl, editor Jennifer Vecchiarello, production designer Laura Ellis Cricks, costume designer Jill Taylor, and composer Dustin O’Halloran.
The release strategy resembles that of other Amazon awards contenders this year: a theatrical release before streaming on Prime Video.
