The Grammy winner was arrested in Chicago on federal charges, marking a new escalation in the case against him in the wake of the documentary Surviving R. Kelly. He already faces state charges related to the allegations of sexual assault against him.
The charges revolve around sex crimes, child pornography and obstruction of justice. This is developing. The feds say R. Kelly was arrested at 7 p.m. in Chicago.
Once the FEDS get involved, it’s basically a wrap! The FEDS will definitely find a charge that will stick and if not, they will simply charge you with or insert the word “CONSPIRACY “ in front sex trafficking and you are bagged! Let’s see how this play out!

R. Kelly’s publicist will also reportedly hold a press conference on Friday morning, Fox 32 reports.
R.Kelly has been in and out of jail all year. It first started in February when he was arrested on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. He was released from jail after posting bail and pleading not guilty just to go back to jail in March for unpaid child support which he was bailed out by an anonymous supporter.
