Rihanna confirmed that she was going expand her multimillion dollar beauty business to include skincare “imminently” according to a new interview with British Vogue. “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide,” she said of the pressure to create skincare products that actually perform.
The skincare line began circulating last year following a trademark filing for “Fenty Skin” which included “medicated and non-medicated skincare, soap, body care and personal care products and related accessories such as kits, tools and applicators.”
Rihanna is incredibly hands-on when it comes to her brands, especially Fenty Beauty. Born in 2017, the beauty brand has since taken off and was responsible for ushering in a new era of inclusive beauty.
Fenty Skin website launched on Tuesday, July 14th and promises to be “the new culture of skincare,” with sales starting July 31st. Fenty Shoe line was also announced to launch on July 15th.
