After the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. voted for sweeping reforms, Netflix and Amazon studios released statements saying their proposals don’t go far enough.

“We’re stopping any activities with your organization until more meaningful changes are made,” Netflix exec Ted Sarandos said of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn.

Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke stated that the streaming service had also put its relationship with the HFPA on hold.

“We are awaiting a sincere and significant resolution before moving forward.”

Mark Ruffalo has spoken out against the HFPA: “Now is the time to step up and right the wrongs of the past. Honestly, as a recent winner of a Golden Globe, I cannot feel proud or happy about being a recipient of this award.”

Scarlett Johansson has spoken out against the HFPA, saying she faced “sexist questions and remarks by certain HFPA members that bordered on sexual harassment.”: “Unless there is necessary fundamental reform, I believe it is time that we take a step back from the HFPA.”
