Tshegofatso Pule was found stabbed and hanging from a tree in June, 2020. Pule was reportedly eight months pregnant when she died. This week Pule received Justice after her boyfriend, Ntuthuko Shoba was found guilty of her murder.
Shoba was found guilty of premeditated murder and two alternative counts of conspiracy to murder. Muzikayise Malephane, who’s currently serving a 20 year prison sentence for killing Tshegofatso Pule after he pleaded guilty claimed he had evidence about Shoba involvement in Tshegofatso Pule death.
The court found that Malephane evidence was clear and satisfactory. It was corroborated by other state witnesses and CCTV footage that shows Shoba walking out of the complex with Ms. Pule on the night she died.
In reading out the guilty verdict, Judge Stuart Wilson indicated that he rejected Shoba’s version of what happened when Ms. Pule left his residence on June 4th, 2020 as not reasonably possibly true, and he was satisfied that the State had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.
Shoba will return to court on May 10th for sentencing proceedings.
