Veronica Perasso Says Illegal Silicone Injections Were Her Worst Decision: “I Got That Done In My Friend’s House”

Veronica Perasso revealed to her Instagram followers that her experience of getting numerous cosmetic treatments made her have some scar tissue, constant health concerns, and body image issues, which she is struggling with. Veronica encouraged younger women to consult qualified professionals before doing the same.

In the second video on her Instagram account regarding her surgeries, Perasso refuted her fans who claimed that the outcome was something to envy.

“Part 2 of the rundown of all my surgeries. Some of you are confused because you guys see my stomach, and some of you think, wow, that’s goals. How do you think you didn’t look good? Well, because after the surgery, I did not look this way. I was still fat after a liposuction because they removed the fat out of here. Still, my face, my arms, and my legs were not in shape,” she said.

She said the liposuction was followed by complications.

“And then I had a lot of fibrosis, it’s scar tissue, and it looks so weird, and this is because I got massages, I got it treated,” she said.

Perasso said her current appearance is the result of habits she adopted after the operations, not the operations themselves.

“I also now exercise, eat well, and do all the things that I didn’t do before to maintain the surgery, so I did surgery, I got to a point much easier, but there’s no way that after surgery you can still look good if you don’t do the right thing,” she said.

She then turned to the procedures themselves.

“But that’s not the point today; the point is talking about surgeries after my BBL. I did Sculptra, and that didn’t give me the results I wanted in that moment,” she said.

Perasso singled out one procedure as her greatest regret.

“So the worst thing I have done is silicone injections,” she said.

She said cost drove the decision.

“With the BBL, who in their right mind is going to pay $3,500 and feel safe? At that moment, I didn’t care, I didn’t have the money, and I was willing to risk my life for those reasons,” she said.

Perasso described the setting in which the injections were performed.

“Silicone injections are not legal and are not done by any professional. I got that done in my friend’s house. A lady came, gave me a pill, put me to sleep basically, and injected me with silicone in the back,” she said.

She said she avoided the severe outcomes that others have reported.

“Some people get so ill and so sick that they have to immediately remove it and they lose sensation of their legs or live in chronic pain. I did not experience any of that, and I’m very, very grateful,” she said.

Still, she said the decision has weighed on her since.

“But I immediately, not immediately, I guess months later, I realized what I have done to my body and been living in total fear about that, knowing that one day it’s gonna start creating problems and I’m gonna have to cut a big scar to be able to take as much of that material possible,” she said.

Perasso said the escalation is what prompted her to speak publicly.

“And that’s the reason for these videos, is because I started with one thing and I ended up with so much body dysmorphia and not love for my body that I ended up with that in my back,” she said.

She said corrective work followed.

“That’s not my last surgery. After that, I met Dr. Scotsdale. He fixed my first surgery, and he gave me an internal bra, lifted them up, and changed the implants for better quality ones. They’re gummy bears, and we did a high profile. That was technically my last surgery,” she said.

She said she has since reversed some cosmetic work.

“But after that, I still got my teeth done again with Dr. Bri, also in Scotsdale. Also, I removed all fillers from my face. I’m trying to achieve as natural as I can,” she said.

Perasso said she expects any future removal of the injected material to be difficult.

“Knowing that I can’t remove my breasts and it will take time to remove this in the back and most definitely affect me very much emotionally and physically, it would take me a long time to recover. I won’t be able to sit or walk or take care of myself for a long time,” she said.

She closed the video by inviting questions.

In the caption accompanying the post, Perasso said the disclosure was not easy.

“This is really difficult for me to talk about. Being this vulnerable means letting you guys into a part of my life, and my mental health, that I kept very private for a long time,” she wrote.

She said distance has changed her view of the choices she made.

“Now, after so many years, I can look back and understand things differently. And I realize that sharing my experience with cosmetic surgery might help someone else before they go too far down the same rabbit hole I did,” she wrote.

Perasso invited followers to contact her directly.

“If there’s any girl watching this who has been thinking about changing or modifying something about herself, please feel free to ask me anything. I’ll always be honest and transparent about my experiences, the good, the bad, what I regret, and what I would do differently,” she wrote.

She also encouraged followers to seek professional guidance.

Perasso said the post was not meant as criticism of others.

“I’m not sharing this to judge anyone’s choices. I’m sharing it because I wish I had heard more honest conversations like this when I was younger,” she wrote.
